Bronx District Attorney/Crime Victims/Bx

This is the Crime Victims Assistance Unit. They provide counseling (for ages 16+) and other resources for victims of crimes that were committed in the Bronx and/or are being prosecuted by the Bronx District Attorney's Office. This program is for victims of all ages -- children, adolescents and adults.

CAMBA’s Victims Assistance Program (VAP)

CAMBA’s Victims Assistance Program (VAP) serves victim survivors of domestic violence and other violent crimes.
Services include:

Assistance in filing Crime Victims Board compensation claim forms with the NYS Crime Victims Board
Crisis counseling
Emergency cash assistance
Individual and group support and education
Information and referral services
Police and court advocacy

Safe Horizon is the nation’s leading victim assistance organization. Our mission is to provide support, prevent violence, and promote justice for victims of crime and abuse, their families and communities. The New York Crime Victims’ Assistance Task Force

The New York Crime Victims’ Assistance Task Force includes citizens and organizations, both public and private, that advocate for and support the rights of victims of crime. The task force strives to make justice truly meaningful and truly effective by recognizing that crime isn’t something that “happens to someone else.” Crimes can have many victims, and there are countless opportunities to ensure that victims and survivors receive the rights and respect they need and deserve.

    The National Hotline is a national, 24-hour call center that responds to cases of human trafficking. Human trafficking is defined as a situation in which an individual is compelled to work or engage in commercial sex through the use of force, fraud, or coercion.
