Nebraska Victim Advocacy Program
The Statewide Nebraska Victim Advocacy Program (NVAP) is able to ensure victims of crime, regardless of location and victimization type, have access to advocacy coordination and direct client assistance in order to work towards or achieve safety and well-being.
There are 93 counties in the State of Nebraska and only 19 established Victim Assistance Programs. The Nebraska Victim Advocacy Program has the ability to work with survivors Statewide as well as those effected by the crime types that are often underserved, due to both the victimization type and location of residence, specifically rural communities.

Nebraska Victim Assistance Program
The mission of the Nebraska Department of Justice Victim Assistance Program is to mitigate the impact of crime on the lives of victims by enhancing victim services statewide, promoting victims' rights, and providing access to information and resources in a compassionate and dedicated manner.
Seward Victim's Assistance Program
The Seward Victim Assistance Program is committed to providing free services to survivors of crimes, including information, opportunities, referral, advocacy, and support, especially in the criminal justice system processes.
On behalf of victims, we act as liaisons between victims and a variety of justice system departments. We aspire to empower and assist survivors of crime in their recovery.
Gage County Victim Assistance Program
The Victim Assistance Program has been in existence since 1995. It is supported by VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) federal grant funds, in-kind and cash match by the City of Beatrice and Gage County. The daily operation of duties of the director includes but is not limited to direct contact either face-to-face or phone contact with victims, assistance with protection orders, criminal justice advocacy, follow-up contact, etc. The director is also responsible for coordination with partnering agencies, grant writing, and quarterly reporting of financial and statistical reports required for VOCA funding.
Heartland Family Service
Heartland Family Service is designed for women who have been abused and those who struggle against ongoing abuse who have now turned to using violence (legal and illegal) against their intimate partner.
