New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault
The New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NJCASA) is the statewide advocacy and capacity-building organization that represents New Jersey’s 21 county-based sexual violence programs and the Rutgers University-New Brunswick Office of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance. In addition to our county-based programs, we also have in our membership a cohort of eight culturally specific programs. Culturally specific services are created by and for specific cultural communities and provide support with an emphasis on the experiences and needs of survivors in such communities and with recognition of the cultural complexities and layered identities of every individual. In New Jersey, we have many incredible culturally specific services available for survivors of sexual violence.

New Jersey Victims of Crime Compensation Office
The New Jersey Victims of Crime Compensation Office assists certain individuals whose lives have been tragically altered as a result of victimization from violent crimes by providing compensation for some expenses they suffer as a result of the crime. In carrying out its mission, the VCCO is mindful of the special needs of those victimized by crime and their right to be treated with fairness, compassion and respect.
The VCCO was established by the Criminal Injury Compensation Act of 1971 to help victims recover from the effects of violent crimes by providing financial assistance to victims, their families, and victim service providers to help alleviate the economic and emotional burdens of victimization.
